Sir Rodney Walker

Sir Rodney Walker is our Chairman and brings a wealth of knowledge to the organisation having chaired multiple media and sports businesses over many years he is well placed to head up the future of Visualize Films.

Originally a chartered engineer and now an international business man he has been responsible for rebuilding a theatre, running a radio station, and bringing the Tour de France to the UK and previously he has held the post of Chairman of West Yorkshire Broadcasting, the Rugby Football Association and is currently chairman of the London Marathon and a trustee of the Wembley National Stadium Trust.

As a true Yorkshireman he was awarded Yorkshireman of the year in 2008, business person of the year in 2014 and a Lifetime achievement award for business in 2018. He is our guide and mentor.

John Danbury

John Danbury is Managing Director of Visualize Films Ltd and is the guy who gets things together, he produces the product and fixes the problems, ultimately the buck stops with him.

He has a background in sales, marketing and business as well as performance art. John has been an actor and a corporate entertainer and has spent many years producing theatre and cabaret as well as speaking to and training businesses in the art of direct response marketing strategies and compelling communications.

Above all John is a problem solver and an action taker. Creating tangible results from ideas is one of his best qualities, another is his ability to smile no matter what is happening!

As the Managing Director of Visualize Films Ltd John has been responsible for producing all the current and previous work including the 10 part TV series “Are we there yet?” for Irish television,  John Godbers last feature film “Last Laugh” the documentary “Words & Pictures”, the multi-award winning short films "Mystaken Identity", "Touching the Blue" and "25% - A Confession" as well as a host of other films and corporate work both completed and in pre & post-production.

Dave Thorp

Dave is our Production Manager and lead Director of Photography and turns our ideas and planning into visual masterpieces, he began making films when he was 8 years old, shooting on Super 8mm, 50 years later he has earned a reputation as a film maker, cinematographer, editor and director.

He is an extremely experienced, multi award winning film maker and cameraman whose work has taken him around the globe to shoot in Los Angeles, St Petersburg, New York, Manila and most countries across Europe. He is experienced as a director of music videos, documentaries, drama and corporate productions.

He has won 22 awards to date at film festivals in Europe and America and brings enormous energy, enthusiasm and expertise to everything we do at Visualize Films.

Ann Micklethwaite

Ann is the glue that holds us together, she does many things and helps behind the scenes in all areas of research, casting and production and makes sure projects stay on plan.

Ann has spent 25 years as a full time actress both on stage and in front of the camera having appeared in west end plays and feature films, alongside this she has also spent 15 years training communication skills for the NHS and brings this clarity to the table to enhance the skills of the rest of the team.

Ann is methodical in her approach to research in all areas of our work here at Visualize Films and we couldn’t do what we do without her.

Joe Wenborne

Joe is a brilliant writer, director and creative with over 40 years’ experience working on stage and screen. Staring life as a journalist, he went on to write and perform music, variety and comedy before co creating the largest touring theatre company in the UK where he wrote and directed hundreds of stage shows over 20 years as well as authoring three books on personal development and entrepreneurship and a novel.

As a screen writer Joe has the rare ability to understand various genres, switching easily between historical and period pieces to cutting edge drama and high concept action.

Joe’s screenplay “Touching the Blue” was produced in 2020 and the film has won many international awards and his screenplay “Love in Hard Times” goes into principal photography mid 2021. Joe has written many interesting projects including the high-concept period drama “Black Thunder”, the introspective comedy drama “Broken Strings”, the animated film “Paws Up” and the country music backed, love story “Wide Open Spaces”.

Joe’s passion for words makes him an amazing asset to the team.
